Well we all knew that Apple would be releasing new iPads very soon, however rumours had suggested that Apple would only be doing a press release, rather than a full keynote.
Thankfully for all Apple Keynote lovers (myself included), those rumours turned out to be incorrect!
As an Apple Pencil can be seen in the event artwork, it is pretty safe to assume that we will be getting updated iPads, a new Apple Pencil and possibly a new Magic Keyboard according to some rumors.
Predictions
- New iPad mini with either the A16 or A17 chip.
- The iPad Pro gets the M3 chip, no other changes made.
- A new 12.9" iPad Air will be announced, probably with the M3 chip as well.
- The iPad 9 will be discontinued and the iPad 10 will take its place in the lineup.
- A new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air/Pro.
The event will be live streamed on YouTube and at Apple.com on May 7 at 7am PDT. I will be watching the event live, and will be posting my thoughts on Mastodon as it happens.
